Generally they are the ones
disagreeing with progress or projects. You too often probably hear the dissenting voices and not the
affirming ones.
I would like to weigh in on the apartment complex for 32nd and Hilyard. I feel it is a needed addition
for the housing of our growing city. Here's why:
1) Eugene lacks decent apartments that are not student oriented. Please take some time to get
online and search for a decent apartment. I'm appalled at what Eugene has to offer.
2) If the intent through Envision Eugene and city planning is to not expand Urban Growth
Boundaries, this is the type of mixed use development that needs to happen.
3) Five-stories is not too tall.
4) Having lived all over the United States, I'm here to tell you we don't have traffic issues. One
apartment building is not going to gridlock South Eugene.
My two cents. We need more and better housing in Eugene. Make it happen.
Kari Welch
Citizen
3083 Skyview Lane
571-239-0909 (cell)
