H E #2
Hearing Testimony, March 1, 2017, Amazon Corner TIA Appeal
Appellant: Southeast Neighbors Association & FOAC
Dennis Hebert, Southeast Neighbors Board
Good afternoon. I am Dennis Hebert. I am on the Southeast Neighbors
Board and here representing the Southeast Neighborhood Association
members. The reason we are appealing the initial TIA is that a general
meeting was held of the Association to discuss the Amazon Corner
development. While several issues were discussed concerning adverse
effects of the development to the neighborhood, an overwhelming
majority of the attending members asked that the TIA be appealed. At
that time, Mr. William Collinge, Chair of Friends of Amazon Creek,
stated that his organization also felt strongly about the traffic impact of
Amazon Corner and they would be willing to lead a fundraising effort
and assume the financial responsibility of the appeal. We, Southeast
Neighbors Board, felt that was a good co-operative community
endeavor and signed on for support of the appeal.
