BERG-JOHANSEN Erik
From: dennis hebert <dnns_hebert@yahoo.com>
Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2017 10:09 AM
To: BERG-JOHANSEN Erik
Subject: Comment on Amazon Corner land use application ARA 16-017 and TIZ 16-007
Jan 10, 2017
Dear Mr. Berg,
Please enter my comments as part of public record concerning the proposed Amazon Corner
Development Land use Application ARA 16-017 and TIA 16-007 and the need for an expanded TIA.
I live 6 blocks away and that route is my main direction of travel. We need an expanded Traffic Impact
Analysis (TIA) addressing specific concerns including:
• increased traffic on residential side streets [Ferry, Alder, Kincaid, Harris, Onyx, 32nd
Ave], (refer to: R-9.8650-F-8.1.3) Alder is an alternative bike path that routes bicycles across Hilyard
on 32 Ave.
• lack of safe crossings for pedestrians and cyclists, (refer to: R-9.8650-G.2.)
• lack of refuges for vehicles entering/leaving Hilyard at 31 st Avenue (refer to: R-9.8650-
F-8 and 10.)
• the study was done only for late afternoon hours, not the morning school and work rush,
(refer to: R-9.8650-F-5) .
Also, I support and endorse the comments sent in by Fodor & Associates, LLC and urge strongly that you
pursue an expanded TIA.
Dennis Hebert
850 E. 38 Ave.
Eugene, OR 97405
