Attachment L-61
OGD Consulting, PC.
Serving Oregon Geotechnica( Design & Consulting Needs
Don Johnson, AIA
DJ Architecture
2411 Brighton Way SE, Suite B
Albany, Oregon 97322
February 28, 2016
Re: Proposed New Development
Eugene TownePlace Suites
Valley River Drive
Eugene, Oregon
Subject: Geotechnical Investigation
Proiect No. 616-15-02
Dear Mr. Johnson:
OGD Consulting, PC (OGD) has completed the requested geotechnical investigation for
the proposed new building and associated parking area at the currently vacant parcel at
the east end of Valley River Drive along the north bank of the Willamette River in
Eugene, Oregon. This report includes a discussion of site conditions and a summary of
geotechnical recommendations for design and construction of the proposed
improvements.
The proposed building site includes fill material on portions of the site underlain by
alluvial soils that transition from predominately silt to sandy gravel at shallow depth.
The proposed foundations are expected to be moderately loaded and constructed over
structural fill and the upper silt alluvium. We believe the site is adequate to support the
planned structure using conventional foundations, provided they are adequately
embedded into the existing soils. Detailed recommendations for design of foundations
and considerations for earthwork at the site are provided herein.
We trust this information meets your current needs. It has been a pleasure assisting
you with this phase of your project. Please call if you have any questions or need
additional assistance.
Sincerely,
OGD Consulting, PC.
By:
Mel McCracken, PE, GE, President
0',.' 7 NVV Fir Ridge Rare, CC; 'a;L-~ cCjCll 97330
