EXHIBITS Page 134 <br />G.15 Implement changes to stormwater facilities and management practices to reduce the <br />presence of pollutants regulated under the Clean Water Act and to address the <br />requirements of the ESA. <br />G.16 Consider wellhead protection areas and surface water supplies when planning stormwater <br />facilities. <br />G.17 Manage or enhance waterways and open stormwater systems to reduce water quality <br />impacts from runoff and to improve stormwater conveyance. <br />G.18 Include measures in local land development regulations that minimize the amount of <br />impervious surface in new development in a manner that reduces stormwater pollution, <br />reduces the negative affects from increases in runoff, and is compatible with Metro Plan <br />policies. <br />G.19 The cities and Lane County shall adopt a strategy for the unincorporated area of the UGB <br />to: reduce the negative effects of filling in floodplains and prevent the filling of natural <br />drainage channels except as necessary to ensure public operations and maintenance of <br />these channels in a manner that preserves and/or enhances floodwater conveyance <br />capacity and biological function. <br />G.20 Maintain flood storage capacity within the floodplain, to the maximum extent practical, <br />through measures that may include reducing impervious surface in the floodplain and <br />adjacent areas. <br />Services to Development Within the Urban Growth Boundary: Electricity <br />Finding <br />26. According to local municipal utilities, efficient electrical service is often accomplished <br />through mutual back-up agreements and inter-connected systems are more efficient than <br />isolated systems. <br />Policies <br />G.21 The electric service providers will agree which provider will serve areas about to be <br />annexed and inform the cities who the service provider will be and how the transition of <br />services, if any, will occur. <br />Services to Development Within the Urban Growth Boundary: Schools <br />Finding <br />27.
