G.21 The cities shall initiate a process with school districts within the UGB for coordinating <br />land use and school planning activities. The cities and school districts shall examine the <br />following in their coordination efforts: . <br />a. The need for new public school facilities and sufficient land to site them; <br />b. How open enrollment policies affect school location; <br />C. . The impact of school building height and site size on the buildable land supply; <br />d. The use of school facilities for non-school activities and appropriate <br />reimbursement for this use; <br />e. The impact of building and land use codes on the development and <br />redevelopment of school facilities; <br />f Systems development charge adjustments related to neighborhood schools; and, <br />g. The possibility of adjusting boundaries, when practical and when total <br />enrollment will not be affected, where a single, otherwise internally cohesive area <br />is divided into more than one school district. <br />G.22 Support financial and other efforts to keep neighborhood schools open and to retain <br />schools sites in public ownership following school closure. <br />G.23 Support the retention of University of Oregon and LCC facilities in central city areas to <br />increase opportunities for public transit and housing and to retain these schools' <br />attractiveness to students and faculty. <br />Services to Development Within the Urban Growth Boundar : Solid Waste <br />Finding <br />32-9. Statewide Alarming Goal 11 requires that, "To meet current and long-range needs, a <br />provision for solid waste disposal sites; including sites for inert waste, shall be included <br />in each plan." <br />Policies <br />G.24 The Lane County Solid Waste Management Plan, as updated, shall serve as the guide for <br />the location of solid waste sites, including sites for inert waste, to serve the metropolitan <br />area.
