PA 1197 ) <br />) <br />IN THE MATTER OP AMENDING THE EUGENE- <br />SPRINGFIELD METJtOPOLITAN AREA GENERAL PLAN <br />(METRO PLAN) TO ADOPT AS PART OF PERIODIC <br />REVIEW METRO PI AN HOUSZIi9EPING REVISIONS1 A <br />NEW METRO PLAN'CE AMZR M-C: ENVIRONMENTAL <br />RESOURCES ELEM1NTi A NEW METRO PLAN DIAGRAM; <br />AND ADOPTING SAVINGS AND SZVZRA33I2ITY CLAUSES. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter IV of the Eugano-Springfield Metropolitan Area Oenenl Plan (Metro Plan) <br />seU forth proced.me for amendment of the Metro Plan, which for'Lane County are implemented by the <br />provisions of Gee Code 12.200 duvigh 12.245; and <br />WHEREAS, the current Metro Plan, adopted in 1982 and subsequently amended, is in need of <br />modification to reflect changes in State law and local conditions, as regaind by Periodic Review; and <br />WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing with the Eugeme and Springfield Planning Commis- <br />sions on June, 3 and June 17, 2003, the Lane County Planning Commission reconmsended the draft Metro <br />Plan Housekeeping Revisions, daft Metro Plan Chapter III-C, and the draft Metro Plan Diagram to the <br />Lane County Board of Commissionea by action taken at a public meeting held by the Planning Commis- <br />sion on November 18, 2003; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Corrunissioners has conducted a public hearing and is now <br />ready to take action based upon the above recommendations and the evidence and testimony already in the <br />record as well as the evidence and testimony preserved at the-public hearing held in the matter of amending <br />the Metro Plan. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissioners of Lane County ordains as follows: <br />Secdt2n.1. The revisions in the Metro Plan Housekeeping Revisions, as set forth in Exhibit A at- <br />tached and incorporated herein, are adopted as amendments to the Eugene-Springfield Metropoli- <br />tan Area General Plan (Metro Plan). <br />section 2. The Environmental Resources Element (Chapter III-C) of the Metro Plan is removed, <br />superseded and replaced by a new Environmental Resources Element (chapter M-C), as set forth <br />in Exhibit B attached and incorporated herein, which is hereby adopted as an amendment to the <br />Metro Plan. <br />Section 3.
