It is not typical to create high‐density residential parcels on quiet streets, like
Portland between 29th and 30th or 30th Avenue. If drivers were to exit a new
development on to W. 30th and turn west, the route to 29th will be challenging (it’s
narrow and up a hill) and would absolutely degrade the low‐density residential
character of Charnelton and Lincoln Streets as people make their way to 29th. This
does not seem well thought out.

In summary, any adopted vision and re‐zoning needs to address the traffic flow on
what are currently quiet streets and it needs to provide a softer transition from low‐
density residential to high density residential.

Thank you for your consideration and for working to make Eugene a better
community.
