with the natural skyline and health-promoting environmental atmosphere
that we treasure in this special areaM! Large amounts of our tax dollars
have been spent for the development of the Amazon Creek Corridor and
protection of the Corridor's natural ecosystem and wildlife habitat
right across the street. You can't in conscience allow the view from the
nature trails to be ruined, and approve of the microwaving of birds and
wildlife in this protected environment. (See attachment Dept. of the
Interior Letter, Feb.2014)
Please, planners, deny this proposed cell tower AT&T CUP 14-003 at
the so-called Crossfire Church. They want to become a corporate entity.
Please, not in the view of this sacred public space, and not on our
residential street. I am thoroughly disgusted with the pastor of this church.
The independent review has shown that AT&T has not demonstrated the
necessary need for this proposed Crossfire tower. I can see very little
benefit to the public for this tower, compared to the huge degradation of
the natural environment and residential neighborhood. If this tower is
allowed, my belief in the good of the planning department will be totally
obliterated.
Sincerely, Jane Katra
On April 28, the NYTimes reported that many world religious leaders met
with the UN Secretary-General in Vatican City to discuss their common
environmental concerns. They agreed that all their religious traditions "affirm the
beauty, wonder, and inherent goodness of the natural world, and appreciate that
it is a precious gift entrusted to our common care, making it our moral duty to
respect rather than ravage the garden that is our home." (EugeneRG, 4-29-15, A5)
