From: Loretta Huston
To: GIOELLO Nick R
Subject: AT&T/Crossfire Cell Tower Deep Concerns within Our Local Community
Date: Thursday, May 07, 2015 10:38:21 AM
Hello Nick,
I do hope many others as well have the time to write a letter concerning this urgent
threat of installing a sightly and increased electrically charged cell tower right in the
midst of a dense population. This 75 foot cell tower is also projected to be installed
near a designated area within the upper Amazon Creek corridor which is to be
protected as a natural sanctuary for birds and other wildlife. It is extremely unethical
for a private party to push forth within a diverse community such a risky,
experimental and controversial project just for personal financial gains.
With the US Telecommunications Act that was passed in 1996, the industry has only
flourished from de-regulation and protective legislation at the expense of public
health.
These laws are merely "human made" and need and must be reformed to address
and protect our local communities. We must encourage responsible behavior for the
"Greater Whole" not just the select few.
So yes, as a local resident off Fox Hollow I am loudly speaking out to not allow this
75 foot intrusive and dominating project to go forth.
Hopefully our City will lead the way with wisdom and safety in preventing any of
these projects from going forth within complex and dense biological communities.
Thank you greatly for taking the time to listen and hear our deepest and very real
concerns.
Loretta Huston
601 Woodleaf Ln.
Eugene,.
