I am especially sensitive to EMF radiation b e of wires in my jaw from surgery. <br />I would not have bought my home in S.E. It's some of info that I used in presentation <br />at Crossfire Church. I also included info from the health studies & concerns mentioned about these <br />towers by local doctor, Paul Dart. If you know where to look-there is quite a bit of info about the health <br />problems associated with these these towers. It's been linked to changes in cell tissue and the DNA, cancer, <br />suppressed immune function-suppression of melatonin (one of the body's major antioxidants produced during sleep), <br />sleep disorders, memory loss, headaches, increases in seizures, increased heart rates and other disorders. <br />Dr. Klinghart in Washinton State has done studies linking EMF radiation to autism. <br />We are the experiment with involuntary, cumulative EMF microwave radiation. The US has the least protective <br />standards of EMF radiation in the world. Dr. Dart mentioned this at his presentation, it's also in the Mount Shasta <br />report. European countries have set standards 100 to 1000 x lower, China also, Austria 10,000x lower. New Zealand <br />has the most protective levels-50,000 times that of the the US. The article also said that it's possible to have these towers <br />with much lower emissions-it's required in these other areas of the world- but there is an increase in cost to the telecom <br />company. <br />There is also quite a bit of internet information about cell tower lease buy-outs. Please check this info on internet. <br />Vertical Consultants, run by Hugh Odom, an attorney with experience as a telecom attorney says that his <br />company can negotiate averages of 568% over the original lease. Buy-out of the lease is mentioned. <br />Another consultant firm, Tower Lease.com-Using a cell tower lease as collateral for obtaining a loan. <br />` A company called Lease Buy-Outs, Need Cash for your Cell Tower Lease. <br />" Airwave Management-Municipal Government Cell Tower Solutions... how to get around your city ordinances. <br />A firm called North East Associates states-The tower industry in particular continues to attract sophisticated <br />hedge funds and venture capital firms These investors expect high returns & their extraordinary Investment in <br />the cell tower industry indicates that they have great confidence in this sector. This company also specializes <br />in cell tower lease buy-outs. <br />We need to check this with Steve Ochs of the city #541-682-5453, steve.p.ochs@ci.eugene.or.us but it looks <br />like cell tower leases are similar to mineral rights/oil leases on land. You don't have to own the land to lease the <br />cell tower. Some of the big sectors that are buying these leases are organized as LLC companies (limited liability). <br />If the these companies did not fear future class-action lawsuits, why are they organized as LLC's. <br />CrossFire Church has only owned the property in S.E. Eugene for a short time. It seems that if you were trying to <br />develop a community church you would not put up a 75' tower to expose your church members & neighbors to the <br />problems. From what I can sWthere seems to be few who go to the Eugene church. One young woman sitting behind <br />me at the meeting (her child has autism) said that Rev. Taylor is seldom at the church & he agreed with that. I tried to <br />bring some literature over the next day & no one was there. <br />At the meeting, it was mentioned that there is good Verizon coverage in the area. Perhaps the city could ask that the <br />the same line be used for AT&T. We need the minimum towers, located in the safest places, and towers with the <br />lease amount of EMR radiation as is required by other countries. The internet said that communities across the US have <br />passed a moratorium on the building of these towers to have more time to study the issues & pass more protective ordinances <br />to protect our community. The buy-out of the tower leases from companies offering large money that are formed as LLC's, is of <br />particular concern. <br />I am just person with fragile health. It's going to take many of us asking questions. It was mentioned at the meeting that neighborrin Oakway has been trying to keep a cell tower from <br />going up on the Golf Course since 2010-perhaps we should talk to them. <br />Thank you. <br />
